LandesvaterFraternities will gather 18:00 at the premises of Faculty of Education of University of Tartu (Salme 1a).Events for sororities and accompanying personsSororities' eveningAs a continuation of the tradition started in 2003 korp! Amicitia has the honor of organizing Sororities' evening this years. During the evening beautiful music from Arsis Handbell Ensemble will be performed (http://www.arsis.ee/). Sororities' evening plays a vital role in strengthening the relations and ties of friendship between Estonian and Latvian sororities. The event will take place at the white hall of the Tartu University History Museum which is situated between the ancient walls of the Medieval Dome Cathedral on the spectacular Tartu Dome Hill. Event for the accompanying persons For the non-corporant accompanying persons who will not take part in either the Landesvater or sororities' evening on 6th June there will be a guided tour introducing some of the most interesting sights of Tartu. The tour will be followed by dinner at one of the cozy cafés of Tartu. For those who are interested there is a possibility to enjoy an interesting concert “Una Corda” (estonian folk instrument kannel (zither) combined with harpsichord and harp) in the unique Tartu Jaani (St Johns) Church, the organizers will be happy to assist you with buying tickets. Party will be in full house till sunrise, and participants can enjoy performances from DJ Zoja Puhur.Brunch/“Katerfrühstück”Last meeting before going home will be at botanical garden of University of Tartu (Lai 38, http://www.ut.ee/botaed/). Traditional soup will be served and joyful company from Viljandi Culture Academy (http://www.kultuur.edu.ee/ branch of University of Tartu) will provide musical refreshments. And of course everybody has possibility to enjoy exposition provided by the botanical garden. |
